Hello pretty friends!
Today I'm sharing with you the "must have" shots you'll want during a Style Session to make sure you have all the imagery you need for a successful blog post. This isn't to say you can't stray from this list and add a few creative shots to make things pop... but at a minimum, you'll want the following five:
From A Distance
I always include a few full body shots from a distance, specifically "for the gram". For example, the below can be cropped into a square and the viewers will still be able to take in the whole outfit as a preview for whats to come on the blog.
Accessories
Be sure to point out to the photographer, all the accessories you plan on providing links or information for on your blog so that they are photographed properly.
Full Body
You'll want to make sure all your readers have a good view of the clothing and how it lays and was styled all together. Include one natural looking full body image so your readers can envision themselves in the same outfit!
Head Shot
During each outfit, I like to always take at least one head shot of my client -- as a blogger, you need a handful of these to choose from for things like profile pictures and images to introduce yourself when you are guest blogging.
Fun & Flirty
Your blog post pictures will get boring REALLY fast if every. single. one. is of you posing for the camera in the same "natural" looking stance. I always try to snap a few doing something slightly different... leaning up against a wall, looking into a mirror/reflection, sitting on a bench. Nothing to crazy, just something to break up the monotony of you standing there for your readers ;)
XOXO,
Amber G
